Small but mighty, our bayside cafe was crowned Victoria’s Best by the Good Food Guide 2026. Great brews and tasty bites by day, smashable wines and share plates after sundown.

Commonfolk are Frankston locals, born and bred. So when the chance came to open our dream space in the neighbourhood, we made our choice and backed Frankston.

Our home on Playne Street is our way of saying thanks. A chance to build an all-day meeting place. Join us for breakfast, coffee, lunch, or something in between, then settle in after sundown for smashable wines and share plates.

The kitchen finally has the room it needs to do our menu justice. And of course, we are still pouring some of the best brews in Bayside, and you can explore our entire coffee range to take a little bit of Commonfolk home with you.

This is a bit of a love letter to Frankston. A thank you. A fresh start. A chance to show what we can do with just a bit more room to move. We hope you like it.

As with all of our venues, 20c from every cup of coffee brewed and every kilo of coffee roasted is donated to The Cup That Counts, an initiative dedicated to creating a fairer and tastier coffee industry for everyone involved. Find out more.
