Owners Nicolas Cabrera and Jeff Yerxa, whose first brick and mortar cafe opened to great community support in 2021 in Takoma, have been sourcing coffees from producing countries and roasting them in Brightwood Park since 2015. In sourcing and roasting, the company focuses on quality, sustainability, and building long term relationships with producers.

Lost Sock’s cafe at the historic Takoma theater highlights popular breakfast menu items, including Argentinian style baked empanadas by Cabrera’s parents’ company, Hungry Moon Foods in Hatboro, PA, as well as creations by Chef Jordi Harper. Lost Sock’s drink offerings, including a full espresso bar, iced and hot seasonal drinks, and non-caffeinated options.
