MRDA, founded by Sanidhya Bhuva and Purav Patel in Ahmedabad, is a space shaped by the idea of returning to the earth. Drawing from India’s indigenous knowledge systems, regional traditions, and relationship with the natural world, MRDA brings together food, beverages, architecture, and design through a contemporary Indian lens. It is an exploration of how traditional ways of living and making can inform more thoughtful, conscious ways of experiencing the everyday.
This philosophy extends to its beverage programme, where coffee becomes a canvas for exploring India’s diverse flavour landscape. By bringing Indian ingredients, familiar flavour associations, and regional sensibilities into the experience of specialty coffee, MRDA creates new expressions that feel rooted in local culture while remaining open to experimentation. The intention is not simply to reinterpret coffee, but to explore how it can reflect the place it inhabits.
At its heart, MRDA is an ongoing exploration of how Indian knowledge, contemporary creativity, and a respect for the natural world can come together to shape a more meaningful everyday experience.
