This is the third cafe location for Urban Sailor Coffee which started as a mobile espresso bar built on a vintage sidecar motorcycle in 2020. This is also the coffee roastery location for Urban Sailor Coffee which has been roasting all of its own coffee since 2022. The interior design for this space is very intentional to provide comfortable seating options for a variety of tastes (tables, couches, leather chairs, counter seating in three areas). This cafe is also patterned after the analog music listening cafes that have been popular in Japan and other parts of the world – there are vintage working speakers built into two cabinet walls that are powered by a vintage Carver amp and play vinyl on a vintage turntable or tape on a 10″ refurbished Akai reel-to-reel player. The menu is relatively small and simple focusing on the quality of the espresso drinks and highlighting pastries from local artisan bakers.
