We opened our doors in 2009 with one mission: to give Portland (Maine!) a coffee experience they hadn’t had before. Great coffee is most often grown by incredible people in incredible places.  These people and places leave their indelible mark on the coffee making each as unique as a snowflake.  At Bard it is our mission to tell the stories of these people, places and coffees in every cup we serve as though we are fulfilling a promise. We do this by carefully sourcing, roasting and preparing our coffees using only the very best practices in order to bring out and share the most wonderful attributes each has to offer.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

For now, the inside of our shop is closed, but we are serving out of our Walk Up Window 7 days a week from 8am-2pm. Our service is completely contactless with the options of either ordering ahead online or in person at the window. We kindly encourage customers to wear masks during ordering/pick up. At this time, we are not accepting cash payments.
