My wife Edna and I started a life and a cafe together here in Philly 15 years ago. We've learned a lot about establishing a cafe, starting with a dream and following through with a lot of hard work and attention to detail. We've learned how to bake (well, she not me) and how to source & roast coffee grown and brought to us by quality-focused and sustainably-minded coffee farmers and importers. The biggest lessons have been the hardest, but have made us stronger and have given us perspective that helps us through any new challenges. We've also learned the value of family, friends, neighbors, and our global community in helping us through hard times and inspiring us to become better at our crafts and make a positive impact in the world that goes beyond coffee and baking.
